Stories from our founders Ms Yuan Ting and Mr Anthony Wong

Ms Yuan Ting
Practitioner Director Yuan Ting has been practicing for 20 years. Her deep interest in women’s health and related conditions led her to pursue studies at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. After graduation, she gained extensive clinical experience and later co-founded Xi Group with her husband, Practitioner Director Anthony Wong.
Xi Group operates under two main brands: Zhao Xi and Xing Lin. Among them, Zhao Xi is a specialized TCM brand primarily focused on treating female infertility.
Both “Zhao” (兆) and “Xi” (喜) carry auspicious meanings. Yuan Ting believes that bringing new life into the world is a joyful and meaningful experience, and she has incorporated this philosophy into the clinic’s naming and operations.
Her vision is to make Zhao Xi a trusted name, so that whenever patients face infertility challenges, they immediately think of Zhao Xi. To achieve this, she is committed to delivering high-quality, specialized medical services.
The practitioners at Xi Group are required to have a strong foundation in both TCM and Western medical principles to provide the most comprehensive and effective treatment tailored to each patient’s condition.
Additionally, all TCM practitioners at the clinic hold university degrees and are officially registered with relevant government authorities. They possess solid expertise in acupuncture, cupping therapy, and Tui Na (therapeutic massage), ensuring high-quality care for every patient.
Yuan Ting shares her aspiration:
“I want every patient to feel at home here—safe, reassured, and confident that we will provide the most suitable and professional treatment. Together, we will achieve their goals.”
Looking ahead, she remains dedicated to maintaining professional excellence and staying true to her original mission, striving for continued growth and success for Xi Group.

Mr Anthony Wong
Anthony Wong has dedicated 20 years to TCM and specializes in endocrinology. He completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Together with his wife, Practitioner Director Yuan Ting, he co-founded Xi Group, establishing the renowned Zhao Xi and Xing Lin brands.
Both Zhao Xi and Xing Lin emphasize an integrative medical approach, providing personalized treatment plans for patients. Over the years, Anthony Wong and his team have remained focused on tailored treatment solutions based on each patient’s condition. They have particularly excelled in the field of infertility treatment.
Xi Group has collaborated with universities on data analysis studies, specifically researching women of advanced maternal age who had been deemed to have very low chances of conception by Western medicine. The findings revealed that after receiving treatment at Xi Group clinics, the pregnancy success rate increased to 67%. Anthony Wong described the results as “an exciting breakthrough.”
Beyond infertility treatment, Anthony Wong envisions expanding into various specialized fields, establishing a more professional and modern TCM healthcare platform for patients.
In terms of medication, Xi Group strictly adheres to safety and quality standards, using scientific Chinese medicine (SCM) that is government-certified and compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations. This ensures that patients receive safe and convenient herbal treatments.
Anthony Wong is also passionate about nurturing the next generation of practitioners. Many of the young practitioners at Xi Group were personally selected by him from top university graduates. Coupled with the clinic’s patient-centered professional services, he confidently states:
“Patients visiting our clinics can trust us, even when seeing our practitioners.”
Areas of Expertise
Chinese Herbal Medicine Prescription
What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?
Chinese herbal medicine is a system of traditional medicine that uses plants, minerals, and animal substances to treat a variety of health conditions. It is one of the main components of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).
There are thousands of different herbs used in Chinese herbal medicine, each with its own unique properties. Herbs are often combined in formulas to treat specific conditions. To achieve the best results possible and quality assurance, our medicine (comprised of herbs) is authentic, of premium quality, pesticide free and imported from Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified sources only.
Acupuncture
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture or sometimes called ‘needling’; is one of the most popular Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatments. It involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body. It’s believed to help balance the flow of vital energy, or “Qi,” and promote natural healing and wellness.
Cupping Therapy (Ba Guan)
Cupping Therapy (Ba Guan)
Have you ever noticed those distinctive circular marks on someone’s back and wondered what they were? Those marks are likely the result of cupping therapy, also known as Ba Guan.
This ancient practice has gained popularity among many individuals and athletes, including Olympic champion Michael Phelps. During the 2016 Rio Olympics, Phelps drew significant attention with the visible cupping marks on his back. In an interview with *USA Today*, he praised cupping, calling it “the secret that I have had through this year that keeps me healthy,” and added, “it’s been better than any money I’ve spent on anything else.”
Moxibustion
What is Moxibustion?
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy that involves burning moxa, or dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), near specific points on the body. Often used alongside acupuncture and other TCM practices, it aims to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
Traditionally, moxibustion involves burning moxa in the form of cones or sticks and holding the lit moxa close to targeted acupoints. However, we employ a modernized and safer approach known as smokeless moxibustion. This method delivers the therapeutic benefits of heat without producing the strong, irritating smoke associated with traditional moxibustion. The smokeless moxa stick can be placed in a box on acupoints located on the back or abdomen, or it can be held at a safe distance from the areas requiring stimulation.
Is Moxibustion Safe?
When performed by a trained and qualified practitioner adhering to proper hygiene and safety protocols, moxibustion is generally considered safe. Experienced practitioners take precautions to prevent the burning moxa from directly touching the skin and ensure patients are not exposed to excessive heat.Tuina
What is Tuina?
Tuina massage, also known as Tui Na or Chinese massage, is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy that involves using hands-on techniques to manipulate the body’s soft tissues, acupressure points, and energy meridians. This practice aims to promote healing, restore balance, and enhance overall well-being.
Tuina massage can help address a variety of issues, including but not limited to:
- General aches and pains
- Muscle stiffness and tension (e.g., Frozen Shoulder)
- Musculoskeletal injuries (strains, sprains)
- Stress and sleep-related problems
Additionally, Tuina offers general therapeutic benefits, such as:
- Enhancing circulation and the flow of Qi (vital energy) and blood
- Improving joint flexibility and range of motion
- Promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being
How is Tuina Different from a Regular Massage?
While regular massage techniques focus on broadly manipulating muscle tissues to relieve tension and induce relaxation, Tuina employs a wider range of techniques, including pressing, kneading, rolling, and stretching.
Tuina also integrates acupressure and joint manipulation to target specific acupuncture points and meridians, helping to restore the flow of Qi (vital energy). As a result, Tuina is often used therapeutically to address various health conditions, alleviate pain, and rebalance the body.
